Summer Activities
Apple Picking, etc.: Sharing the bounty of Nature’s mountain abundance happens throughout the summer and fall – strawberries, vegetables, blueberries, apples, peaches to pumpkins, squashes, etc. Farm stands as well as farm fields are available.

Bird Watching: Keep on the lookout for more than 50 species of birds throughout the year. The Bataviakill Creek, which runs throughout the length of Windham, also is home to numerous wildlife including birds, beavers, woodchucks, and deer.
Creek Walking: Bring an old pair of sneakers, good balance and not minding getting wet for this old-fashioned Catskill Mountain activity. The water level differs throughout the summer and you might even be able to creek walk up to the next town. You have the opportunity to be apart of Nature first-hand. This is your opportunity to be a part of Nature!
Fishing: Greene County has the waters and the fish just waiting for you. Call (607) 652-7366 for information on obtaining a fishing license and perhaps even hints on good places to fish. There is calm water lake fishing, sparkling-trout creek fishing or bass fishing in the Hudson River. Windham connects with it all.

Golfing: Greene County is home to 10 PGA-approved golf courses. Windham Country Club (518) 734-9910 and Christman’s Windham House (518) 734-4230 are two fine examples, one at each end of Windham. Check out all the courses through the Greene County Golf Association.
Hiking and Verdant Mountain Walks: Enjoy views and vistas of the surrounding Mountain Range, the Hudson River, Kaaterskill Falls, and historic sites from short walks or all-day hikes. Maps are available from the Inn’s proprietor.
Horseback Riding: Mountain rides available at nearby Windham Equine (518) 734-3592 at Christman’s Windham House.
Swimming: Enjoy the Bataviakill Creek wading pools and falls just east of Prattsville on Rte 23.
